Asiago
The Asiago Plateau with its 7 Municipalities rises majestically over the Po Valley in the province of Vicenza, between the Astico and Brenta rivers. Northwards and Eastwards, it juts out above the Valsugana. Two extensive terraces form the plateau. On the first, at 1000 metres a.s.l., Asiago rests on a wide undulating depression, amongst the intense greenery of meadows and woods or the snowy whiteness sparkling in the sunlight for 8-9 hours a day.

All around, the other Seven Municipalities of the Plateau: Conco, Enego, Foza, Gallio, Lusiana, Roana and Rotzo. The second, higher terrace is formed by a mountain chain with heights reaching 2341 metres a.s.l., providing a barrier that protects the inhabited centres from the northern winds. By now well known and admired at both national and international levels, Asiago is the main town on the Plateau; it boasts an extensive tradition in the tourism field with complete and exhaustive offers. Characterised by a historical centre that is well cared for and excellently presented from both the commercial and hotel facilities point of view, Asiago offers a spectacular naturalistic countryside that lends itself ideally to the performance of spectacular sports, both in summer and winter.

Asiago 7 Comuni welcomes its visitors with all categories of hotels, providing a great variety of services; in fact they are structured to ensure that a stay on the Plateau be the most pleasant ever. Specialisation in certain facilities allows full satisfaction of the most varied needs. For example, the wellness centres, to spend a few days in total relaxation; or the bike-hotels, with specific services aimed at cycling enthusiasts; or the structures dedicated to sportsmen and those specifically appointed for visitors with deambulation problems. For guests staying over, the Plateau of the 7 Municipalities can also rely on a wide choice of apartments to suit every requirement, besides bed & breakfasts, agritourism, residences and camping grounds.

Because of the holiday season opening times, pleasant mornings or afternoons visiting shops and stores are possible for those who love shopping. Even the smallest of the Plateau’s towns all have much to offer. From the main streets of the larger centres to the small shops in every village: the exact opposite of a cold and chaotic shopping mall. Here one can still find that friendly rapport with a shopkeeper able to advise and suggest the most original gift or the most interesting fashion garment. From clothing to antiques, from works of art to typical gastronomic products; from books to local handicraft. And between purchases, tourists can take a pleasant and refreshing break at one of the many spots offering a traditional “spritz” or homemade ice cream.

There is also a whole score of events organised throughout the year such as, for example, historical, cultural and naturalistic meetings and theme excursions. The Plateau proposes amusement and entertainment for the young, for groups and families seeking diversions and a good time; it offers tranquil moments surrounded by nature to those wanting to “get away from it all” in total relax.
