Master World Championships Asiago 2013 are guaranteed

Cross-country skiing: weekend of general test in Asiago, the Master World Championships Asiago 2013 are guaranteed.
- Opening on 14th February with the spokesperson Bjorn Daehlie, registrations are open until the end of January
Asiago (Vicenza), 16th January 2013 - A weekend of real test before the beginning of the Masters World Cup Asiago 2013 took place in the Plateau of the Province of Vicenza on the occasion of the Master National Championships of Cross Country skiing . The test event was organized by the Gruppo Sportivo Alpini Asiago along with the Unione Sportiva Asiago Sci; it involved almost 200 volunteers, whose contribution has guaranteed the course of the competitions and will guarantee the Masters World Cup as well.
The event (from 14th to 22nd February) will be opened by the world's most successful cross-country skier of all time: Bjorn Daehlie.
“There is still one month – explains Alessandro Rigoni, Executive President of the Local Organizing Committee MWC Asiago 2013 - and we are ready. Over the last weekend we experienced an important test: despite the high temperatures we managed to set up our technical and organizing machine which is able to allow the best conditions for the successful world competitions alike”.
The main issue, that is “snow”, is the matter of discussion among the enthusiasts: “During the last days, the temperatures reached 13°C.; nevertheless the ski tracks we prepared for the competitions of last Saturday were excellent ...We have been working hard, and just some aspects have to be improved".
The National Director of MWA Italia, Mr. Giacomo Camozzini, was present at the competitions, in order to inspection the tracks and to plan some of the organizational aspects.
Camozzini said ” There are no doubts: the Master World Cup is guaranteed. Asiago is working hard.”
As to the registrations, the Organizing Committee reports the extraordinary numbers of participants from all over the world. "We would like to score a record: on our side, we guarantee both snow and the competitions, in return for the participations of a great number of motivated athletes, in particular the Italian team. I remind you that the deadline for registrations is the end of January, 2013.”
